Hospital Pharmacy

The hospital pharmacy is a specialised facility providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care. Its wide range of activities is specifically divided among the pharmacy departments. Its main task is to supply the hospital and the public with medicines, medical supplies, laboratory chemicals, and other complementary products. An integral part of the work of a hospital pharmacy is the provision of professional information and systematic clinical and pharmaceutical care in inpatient departments.

    Its mission is to issue medical devices for vouchers for medical and orthopedic devices and to issue them to patients for cash. Patients can also pick up or purchase tonometers, glucometers, special medical footwear, or products for patients suffering from incontinence. The store also includes a booth for trying on various devices. The individual prescription dispensing departments only carry a basic assortment of medical supplies (plasters, bandages, dressings, compresses, etc.). In addition to the basic range of medical devices, patients can use:

    Consultation Center

    It offers patients comprehensive counseling, focused primarily on the following topics:

    • proper use of medications
    • side effects of medications
    • interaction of medications with food, food supplements and medications
    • advice on quitting smoking
    • self-monitoring of blood glucose and cholesterol
    • advice and testing for possible short-term memory disorders as part of Screening and care for patients with Alzheimer's disease
    • blood pressure measurement
    • regime measures for civilization diseases
    • self-treatment of minor diseases
    • rational use of food supplements and over-the-counter medications

    The consultation center is open from 9:00 to 15:00, it is advisable to arrange a consultation in advance by calling +420 543 182 164 or by emailing vydej.hybesova@fnusa.cz.
