The Clinic of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery

The Clinic of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery provides a complete range of plastic surgery services (except for burns) and is the second largest plastic surgery centre in the Czech Republic. The range of medical services includes hand surgery, including acute treatment of amputations and traumatic defects. The clinic provides a 24-hour replantation service. As part of reconstructive surgery, the clinic performs reconstruction of post-traumatic consequences, oncological defects, free tissue transfers, and a complete range of reconstructive procedures, including microsurgery and supermicrosurgery. Another significant programme is breast reconstruction, both in the form of prophylactic mastectomy with immediate reconstruction (high-risk patients) and delayed subsequent breast reconstruction. The department performs paediatric plastic surgery with treatment of congenital facial defects, reconstruction of congenital defects of the auricle, eyelids, hands, genitals, and skin. It also provides surgical treatment for transsexualism, lymphedema, pressure ulcers, and large abdominal hernias.
