Department of Aftercare and Rehabilitation
The rehabilitation department cares for patients of all ages (except children), patients after trauma, polytrauma, orthopaedic surgery, NCH surgery, cerebrovascular accidents, severe internal or neurological conditions, patients with mobility or self-care disorders, speech therapy and cognitive deficits. It also performs wound healing with the help of modern techniques.
The department has a capacity of 115 beds for follow-up rehabilitation for the needs of clinics, FNUSA, and other healthcare facilities, mainly in the South Moravian region. The facility has a large balneotherapy centre with a swimming pool and whirlpools, several gyms equipped with mechanotherapy, physical therapy, magnetotherapy, and phototherapy devices. It also provides ergotherapy, speech therapy, and psychological care. Physiotherapy uses the PNF concept, the SM system, the basal stimulation concept, sensorimotor stimulation, exercises in suspension equipment, walking training, and other procedures. Rehabilitation also takes place in the garden with exercise machines and variously shaped terrain.
