The Urology Department

The Urology Department provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care across the entire field of urology. The department specialises in surgical urology, performing extensive surgical procedures and providing consultation for complicated conditions. Its specialisations include radical oncological surgery, endourology, including percutaneous extraction of calculi, and robotic surgery. It accepts regional and non-regional patients and provides consultation and super-consultation services to all urology departments of the same or lower type, including private clinics.

Specialised programmes include kidney tumour surgery, resection procedures, treatment of bilateral tumours, solitary kidney tumours, surgery for locally advanced kidney tumours, surgery on the inferior vena cava in cases of tumour thrombosis, secondary surgery after kidney tumour surgery, bladder tumour surgery, bladder replacement, radical surgery for prostate cancer, and radical surgery in the retroperitoneum and pelvis, adrenal gland surgery, reconstructive surgery of the urinary tract, endoscopic procedures on the upper urinary tract, surgery for vesicovaginal fistulas after gynaecological surgery, and surgery for stress incontinence. Currently, a multidisciplinary team is working in collaboration with the 1st Clinic of Surgery to treat large tumours affecting multiple organs in both the retroperitoneum and the abdominal cavity.
