The Department of Clinical Psychology

The Department of Clinical Psychology provides counselling, intervention, and therapeutic assistance, primarily to patients hospitalised in individual departments of the hospital, but also to outpatients who contact the Department from the catchment area of the South Moravian Region. The aim is to help patients cope with anxiety and depression, which may accompany the process of accepting and adapting to a serious illness, but may also in themselves cause the development of psychosomatic disorders. Staff members support patients in coping with their subjective experience of their health condition, treatment, and various limitations or changes in their everyday life related to treatment.
