The Department of Health, Social, Home, and Palliative Care

The Department of Health, Social, Home, and Palliative Care
provides health and social care for hospitalised patients and their family members, professional health care for patients in their homes, and specialised palliative care for patients and their family members in the hospital, in a specialised outpatient clinic, and in their own social environment. It was established in January 2025 by merging two departments – the Department of Health, Social and Home Care and the Department of Geriatric and Palliative Care.
The department is also a teaching facility for the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and the National Centre for Nursing and Non-Medical Health Professions.
